Preventive Maintenance and General Inspection

Preventive maintenance and connection inspection on an electrofusion welding machine
PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE Cables, connectors, cooling and the power line are assessed within one inspection plan.

The power path, welding cables, connectors, cooling system and control units are inspected under one preventive-maintenance plan.

Preventive maintenance is intended to identify loose contacts, damaged insulation, contaminated cooling paths and components that may lose performance under load before the machine causes site downtime.

Inspection and diagnostic process

The machine is received with its identification and reported symptom. External condition, cables and supply path are checked before internal measurement. Tests are then performed at representative operating points so intermittent faults and performance loss under load can be distinguished from simple connection problems.

  • Input supply, fuse and protection circuits
  • Welding leads, sockets and connector resistance
  • Cooling fan, air paths and temperature sensors
  • Display, keypad, barcode reader and USB functions
  • Output voltage, current and cycle timing under controlled load

When should this service be planned?

Plan the interval according to utilisation, dust and moisture exposure, transport conditions and the project quality plan. Heavy site use, generator operation and frequent transport may justify shorter intervals.

Repair approval and final verification

Findings, required parts, commercial approval and estimated lead time are communicated before chargeable work begins. After maintenance or repair, the equipment is tested under controlled load. Protection warnings, data functions and a complete welding cycle are checked before the machine is released.

Traceable service record

Measurements, replaced parts and recommendations are recorded on the service form. This record supports maintenance history, comparison at future inspections and more reliable planning for equipment used across multiple projects.

Preparing the shipment

Include the make, model, serial number, displayed fault, operating conditions and contact information. Send the relevant cable, reader or adapter when the symptom depends on that accessory. Contact our technical team before shipment for packaging and delivery guidance.
